Each year the various city states of Greece sent athletes to festivals of games. the modern Olympic games started in 1896. In 1932 the Olympics tried to sue Audi for copy righting the rings. Rugby

Kia Ora this week we learnt how the game of rugby was born.

Rugby was born in 1823 and came to NZ in 1870. Rugby was created by William Webb Ellis. William was playing football at Rugby school in England,  and he picked up the ball and ran with it. No one had ever done that before and the game of Rugby was born! In 1870  Nelson born Charles Monroe introduced  rugby to NZ. After he went to a football club and told them to try rugby and they did and loved it then changed there name to NZRFU New Zealand rugby football union and had a team of rugby players and a team of football players.

I learnt about the teams that were there before the All Blacks there were the NZ Natives they were called the NZ Natives because most of the team was Maori and NZ's native people are Maori.

After I learnt about the All Blacks history I was really proud of my self because I could tell other people about NZ's rugby.

Spark Arena 😁

On May 17th 2021 the year 6's went to Spark Arena for a art exhibition.

When we got to spark arena we had to go into a room that had a stage and a music lab and drums and a whole lot of music stuff. There were people to tell us where we will be going. The room we have to go first was called"The Happy Place" First we went to the ball pit and there was this really deep hole and there were a mountain of balls in it and we had to jump into it I did a front flip into it. Next we went to a yellow bath with a yellow background and yellow shelves full with rubber ducks.

When  we left the happy place we went to"Sounds Fun" room and that is the room that we first walked into when we arrived. I went to the piano first but it wasn't like a real piano but it was a iPad with and piano app on it and it was like a mini piano , then I went to the drums the  drums were like the piano when I was finished with the drum game I gave it to someone else and  carried on and went to the trumpets. The person working there gave me a huge trumpet and a mouth piece and he said just spit in to it. I made a huge sound that the kids  with headphones could hear me. Then I took it of because it was to loud. After that  I went to the music keyboard and you could sing and rest of the kids could make the beat.  I sang pepa pig and baby shark songs . Then we went to the art room.

The art room was all Van Gogh's panting. We went through this place with such big screens, they were bigger then a movie screen.  There were about eight of them then there was one screen that was talking about his life.  They had flower paintings and Japaneses paintings. After they took us through a room with just flowers. They took us outside and gave us a lunch pack with a sandwich an apple and some fruit juice.

It was a really fun day and I am so grateful that we were allowed to go the spark Arena for free and it was an amazing experience.

The second toolkit I went to was my own and toolkit and we did the same thing with a different group of people.

Toolkits 2021

Kia Ora bloggers, today we will be talking about toolkits. On Thursday the 20th of May we went to Owairaka district school for toolkits. Toolkits is were kids find out about a document or an app and that it will help with their learning.

The first toolkit I went to was my own one I presented, Google Maps. It was about how you can go and check out other planets. If you want to travel somewhere it will tell you how long it will take to get theren and how much it is. For example if I went to Wellington on a bike I can search it on Google maps and find out that  it will take me 56 hours to get there. If you want to check out planets, go to google maps -  street view, then press the second google maps link and zoom out until is stops zooming out and on your left the text bar will go away and you will not see it and planet names will show up.

The next one I went to was Google slides animation. So you had to get google slides on and get all the images you want and make something and put it on present mode and use your up, down, left and right keys and it will work.

The last toolkit I went to was Incredibox where you could make some beat sounds and songs. So you had to search Incredibox in the search bar and it should come up and choose a time and then it should come up with shirtless guys and you give them a job  and they will make the song you want.

I think that this toolkit was worth well going to because I learnt a lot of stuff and it was really enjoya

Duffy Theater 😁

Kia ora bloggers to I will be talking about the Duffy theater!! The Duffy theater is when a group of people come and perform a show for your school. The theme is Duffy trapped inside lock-down in 2020 and how they were on there aunties farm and how Duffy hated online books and was wanting a normal book. Online classes was bugging him. He wanted to be in a real class and his teacher didn't know how to put his work on the class document and so he had to read online books and do a book report about it the whole lock-down but he sometimes he called his mum to send a real book and when he got it he said "oh finally the smell of real books" and his little sister was so upset with COVID-19 that she sanitized it the book and it had got soggy and yuck and Duffy hadn't even started reading. After that he got stuck in a deep colossal hole and with his aunties prize winning chicken and his little sister found him and called auntie to help and they got them both out. It turned out to be a happy ending for Duffy because covid was finished. THANK YOU FOR READING MY BLOG.BLOG YA LATER and go comment down below!
