Kia Ora this week we learnt how the game of rugby was born.
Rugby was born in 1823 and came to NZ in 1870. Rugby was created by William Webb Ellis. William was playing football at Rugby school in England, and he picked up the ball and ran with it. No one had ever done that before and the game of Rugby was born! In 1870 Nelson born Charles Monroe introduced rugby to NZ. After he went to a football club and told them to try rugby and they did and loved it then changed there name to NZRFU New Zealand rugby football union and had a team of rugby players and a team of football players.
I learnt about the teams that were there before the All Blacks there were the NZ Natives they were called the NZ Natives because most of the team was Maori and NZ's native people are Maori.
After I learnt about the All Blacks history I was really proud of my self because I could tell other people about NZ's rugby.

DeleteHi Mahdi, I liked how you included a little bit of history, a little bit of facts and a little bit of how it was born. I also liked how the image had all the people who played Rugby. Maybe you could you could give us a self feeling of how you think of Rugby or if you play Rugby. Bye now!
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Mahdi,
ReplyDeleteI liked the way that you talk about rugby and how it was introduced to NZ

Well done Mahdi, you really did a lot of reading/research to get all this information. Just a suggestion however before you post. Perhaps read back over what you have written just to make sure it makes sense, flows correctly and that you use upper case for proper nouns when required. But overall awesome effort. Could we maybe see some more blogs from you about the Olympic Games.
