Matariki

 Kia Ora today I will be writing about Matariki. Matariki is a Moari celebration it is a sign of the moari new year. Matariki are 9 stars but people say there are 7 because they left 2 out this are there names Waiti,Waita,Waipunaragi,Tapuaenuku,Topuaragi,Uraragi,Matariki,Pohutakawa and Hewiterangi. The last two are the stars they left out and their names are Pohutukawa and Hiwa-i-te-rangi. thank you for reading my blog.

    Hi Mahdi, you have done some good research on Matariki, finding all the names of the stars. I wonder what those names mean in English?

    Good work Mahdi remembering the work we did in Miss Daly's class for reading on Matariki. Do you recall any other facts about it or what is going to change next year?
